About the Surgery

Abbey House, Kippax opened in June 2007. The branch was extended in September 2008 to include an operating theatre, x-ray and laboratory facilities. Pets admitted at the Kippax and Rothwell branches for routine operations such as neutering or dentals are treated at Kippax.

The clinic now has three receptionists, a veterinary nurse and veterinary surgeon.

There is free parking both on the roadside in front of the clinic and also in a car park to the rear of the premises.

Trudi Pardoe

Trudi has a veterinary degree from the University of Bristol, and has been part of the Kippax team since the clinic opened in 2007. During the past 10 years she has developed her interest in rabbit medicine and surgery and now provides veterinary care to rabbits over a wide area of Yorkshire. Her other main interest is feline medicine. In her spare time she looks after her house-rabbit and 3 cats.

Jade Thorpe

Jade qualified as a veterinary surgeon from The University of Liverpool in 2015 and after a year of working in a corporate small animal practice in West Yorkshire she joined the Abbey House team in August 2016. Jade generally works from the Kippax clinic but does help cover at all the branches and the Morley hospital.
