Stray Ferret gets stuck in Ossett

Look who has been in to see us?

The RSPCA were called to Ossett to rescue this ferret who had got himself stuck in a metal fence. They were unsuccessful in trying to un-thread him from the bars, so called the fire brigade to cut the fence around him. As you can see he made the trip to the hospital in Morley still snaked through the fence.

Once at Morley vet Laura Smith managed to get him back through one hole, but he was firmly wedged in the other. There was no other choice but to use the bolt cutter again, so he was first anaesthetised and then cut free. Following some pain relief he seems no worse for his experience.
